This recycled part comes with a limited warranty for the original purchaser, lasting 180 days, or longer if an extended warranty is purchased. For commercial, fleet, or diesel applications, the warranty is limited to 6 months. Sheet metal components have a limited lifetime replacement warranty against rust-through corrosion.
Tested Parts must be notified immediately upon discovery of any defect within the warranty period. All repairs or work performed must receive prior authorization before commencement. Any repairs initiated without such authorization, including but not limited to part removal, will result in the voiding of the warranty.
Transportation expenses for returning parts are not covered by the warranty. Tested Parts has the right to repair, replace, or refund any part at its discretion. The warranty will be voided due to improper use, abuse (including racing, towing, overheating, or low oil levels), negligence, careless handling, or damage from improper installation or modification. Existing vehicle issues that could harm the recycled part will also void the warranty.
It is imperative to replace the timing belt and all external seals, including, but not limited to, crank seals, cam seals, oil pan gaskets, intake gaskets, and valve cover gaskets. All accessories must be transferred from the original engine to the recycled engine, and a new water pump should be installed.
Thoroughly clean the intake and inspect both the intake and exhaust ports for any loose nuts, bolts, or debris. Any debris remaining in the cylinder can cause significant damage and is the sole responsibility of the installer, as it may originate from a failed engine and could lead to subsequent failure of the replacement engine.
Additionally, one must check the cooling system for leaks and install a new thermostat. The antifreeze should consist of a 50/50 mix. The oil and filter must be changed before startup and subsequently every 3,000 miles or as required by the manufacturer, but not exceeding 5,000 miles. It is essential to retain all receipts as proof of maintenance.
Engines are guaranteed not to experience knocking, excessive smoking, or excessive oil consumption (please consult the manufacturer’s specifications for acceptable oil consumption levels). At Fusion Used Engine, we are proud to stand behind the quality of our used engines with a clear and focused warranty. This warranty specifically covers the engine assembly, which includes all essential components such as the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and other critical internal parts. While we also include additional items such as switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, wire harnesses, valve covers, gaskets, brackets, oil pans, and flywheels for your convenience and to ensure the protection of the engine during shipping, it is important to note that these items are not covered under our warranty. We are committed to transparency and ensuring you have all the information you need as you purchase your engine with us.
Engines are equipped with a heat tab that will melt in the event of overheating. If the heat tab is compromised in any manner, the warranty shall be considered void.
- Replace all external seals, gaskets, and filters.
- Flush the system per the manufacturer’s specifications in the latest Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) and replace the cooler.
- Fill the transmission with the specified manufacturer fluid. Before installation and starting the vehicle, use the correct transmission fluid. Using a universal fluid may cause failure and void the warranty.
- Replace the transmission filter and pan gasket according to warranty instructions. Ensure the transmission has either an external cooler or a new factory cooler to avoid overheating issues that may impact the warranty.
- Lastly, ensure that the transmission is reprogrammed using dealer software prior to installation. Failure to execute this procedure will void the warranty.
- Additionally, please verify whether this transmission requires flashing, learning, or programming with the appropriate shift adaptations.
We recommend that all customers inspect components upon receipt. If you find any discrepancies, please contact our support line at +1-2132603455. To ensure a smooth process, please do not decline a shipment. This allows us to handle its return at our expense for warranty claims and reduces the risk of lost shipments. Declined shipments will follow our cancellation policies. If you need to return a freighted item, please send an image of the unit properly secured to a skid, if applicable. If the item is unprepared when the freight carrier arrives, you will be liable for the canceled stop, known as a “Dry Run,” and your refund will be minus the “Dry Run” fee assessed by the carrier.
Labor Warranty: Labor costs incurred for the removal and replacement of the part, or for the transfer of parts from the original component to the replacement, are not covered by this warranty unless a labor warranty is acquired at the time of sale. The labor warranty payout and part replacement are limited to two instances; following a third failure, a refund will be initiated.
