Fusion Used Engines & Transmission Inc · Legal & Coverage Notice
The Transmission Warranty
Protected · VIN-Matched · Shift-Tested. Every transmission we supply carries written coverage on its internal components. This page sets out exactly what is covered, what is not, and what you must do at installation to keep that coverage valid.
Article I · Scope of Coverage
What's covered, and what isn't.
A direct, side-by-side ledger of what falls inside the warranty boundary — and what stays outside it. Read both columns before you install.
What's Covered
Your transmission warranty covers the following components and conditions:
- Transmission case and internal housing
- All internal gear sets, planetary assemblies, and clutch packs
- Valve body and hydraulic components
- Torque converter, when supplied as part of the transmission unit
- Internal mechanical failures resulting from manufacturing defects or material faults
- Claims supported by a diagnostic report submitted after the initial 7-day inspection period
What's Not Covered
The following items and conditions are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Transmission filters, pan gaskets, and external seals
- Transmission fluid, fluid changes, and flush services
- Solenoids, sensors, and electronic control components
- Wiring harnesses and electrical connectors
- Shifter assemblies, linkages, and cables
- Labor or installation/removal costs
- Damage caused by overheating, low fluid levels, or improper installation
- Damage or failure caused by incorrect or contaminated fluid
Important Installation Requirement
Always install a new transmission filter and fresh, manufacturer-recommended transmission fluid during installation. Reusing old fluid or installing a clogged filter may result in transmission damage and can void your warranty.
Article II · Voiding Conditions
What voids your warranty.
If any of the following conditions are found, warranty protection is forfeited. Read carefully — this is the part that costs people coverage.
Failure to follow the required Pre-Installation Guide or to provide verified installation documentation.
Evidence of overheating or damage caused by insufficient lubrication.
Missing, damaged, or tampered heat tabs used to verify overheating.
Any unauthorized repairs, alterations, modifications, or disassembly of the unit.
Failure to complete and document proper troubleshooting confirming the issue originates from the purchased transmission.
Returning the merchandise in a condition different from its original delivered condition.
For engine installations, failure to replace the water pump and provide valid proof of purchase.
Failure to return or retain defective merchandise within 15 days of identifying the issue.
Article III · Warranty Requirements
What you must do to keep coverage.
All of the following requirements must be met during installation and throughout the warranty period.
ASE-certified installation
Professional installation by an ASE-certified mechanic is required.
Replace the transmission filter
For transmissions, the filter must be replaced at installation. For engines, the water pump must be replaced.
Install within 30 days
The engine or transmission must be installed within 30 days of delivery.
Keep the installation invoice
Retain the complete installation invoice and the signed installation checklist on file.
Retain all documentation
Keep every invoice, receipt, and supporting document for any future warranty claim.
Report issues within 30 days
Report any installation-related issue within 30 days of delivery to maintain warranty eligibility.
Please keep your documentation
